As you may or may not know, there is a planned 72 hour DOT Blitz coming up May 4-6, 2021.
This time the blitz will be focused on Hours of Service.
WT Fleet Services would like to help your drivers stay in compliance and avoid any HOS violations. Don’t be caught unprepared.
We offer a couple different options to help you be successful.
1 - Spot check daily hours of service records
This can be through your current ELD system, through paper logs, or both.
We will focus on Personal Conveyance abuse (currently the #1 violation) and the incorrect use of Yard Move.
Other areas we will check: General form and manner violations, Hours violations, Pre-trip & Post trip violations and Certification/Signature violations.
2 - Hours of Service Refresher Course for drivers and administrators
Focus will be the regulations surrounding Personal Conveyance and Yard Move.
Class options include: Phone consultation, virtual meetings, or in person.
All classes will be by appointment only and in person sessions will be limited to 5 attendees at a time due to COVID-19 restrictions.
Violations during a roadside inspection can be costly and potentially trigger a compliance review.
