Electronic Logging Devices (ELD)
ELD = Electronic Logging Device
With the ELD Mandates and continued additions to the regulations, WT Fleet Services has partnered with Omnitracs to provide a solution for transportation fleets to help you be compliant and more safe on the roads.
Effective December 2017, the Electronic Logging Device (ELD) rule became mandatory for most commercial vehicle drivers. This means that paper log records are no longer sufficient and ELDs must be installed in commercial trucks (with few exceptions). These small electronic devices connect to the vehicle’s engine, and track how long the truck has been in motion. Drivers caught operating trucks without ELDs will be cited and fined, and safety inspectors may remove these vehicles from service.
WT Fleet Services has the expertise to guide you through the regulations and beyond - from choosing the appropriate ELD device to installation, from training to continued support for your drivers.
We can also help you choose a safety solution to track your equipment, provide enhanced driver coaching, lower vehicle costs and other benefits that have a positive impact on the bottom line.
Omnitracs systems can also be customized to provide reporting of miles driven, driving and on-duty hours, locations, etc. Ask how this reports can benefit you.
